When Domino Debuted Ruthie

We all remember when our first Domino came in the mail and Ruthie Sommers was the first vintage Pucci clad cover girl. The spotlight was on her Santa Monica beach cottage and the focus was her mixing of her traditional tastes with her beau's modern bachelor pad leftovers.

I miss Chapman Radcliff but the design firm remains! It was a great little store just down the way from my house. I wonder if she'll give the shop keeping another go one of these days?

I recently saw a knock off of this sofa...I can't remember where it was but it was damn close. You can't go wrong with David Hicks! And can we talk about that coffee table? I think that may be the best coffee table ever.
The kitchen has an airy and retro vibe.

Love, love, love the Greek Key Rug

This is where the house really gets it's charm - the back yard. I can feel the Santa Monica breeze now...

Well, who's to say if she even has this space anymore, most likely not. We recently got a glimpse of her husband's "Gentleman's Lounge" and something tells they have moved onward and upward. Oh well, it's always fun to go back and look at a place you used to call home.
