Wow...stunning. Just stunning.

Love the hot pink newsboy hats on the bridesmaids too. Can we get some background on Irish Travellers? I had never heard of them before your blog. They are magical.

Yes! Yes! A fun background story, please!

And I totally LOL'd for a few minutes over your "breath taking" comment. Husband has to think I'm insane, sitting here huddled in the office giggling at my computer.

Oh well, it happens. :D

Irish Travellers are not only magical, they are elusive. I will try to gather as much info on them as possible to try to explain their gift on this planet, but until then I suggest you watch Brad Pitt as Mickey O'Neil in Snatch.

And the Riches, that's another one about Travellers, but the American version. They crossed the Pond!

Pikeys!

There was a band of them who'd camped on the M4 outside of Slough in the UK. It was an endless source of amusement to me driving by, but not to the neighbours, I imagine.

They're always an un-natural shade of brown, sort of like an Oompa-Loompa.

I'm not a traveller but I am Irish.

People, it's their tradition like. There's nothing wrong with tradition and I love looking at their outfits cuz they're much more extravagant than settled peoples weddings. I'd never do that for me own wedding, wouldn't be brave enough, but fair fecks to them like!

Let me firstly say that I respect the way this site has been handled unlike other sites where nasty and hurtful things have been said about the travellers.

Yes it is their culture and tradition, the girls are dynamic in their thinking, every traveller girl dreams of that big wedding dress, the bigger the better, but to be fair they are getting more and more classier and dresses are not as big as before. They love costumes, cinderella, little bo-peep and all dresses have a theme. They are close knit people and every bride's dress is better than the last wedding, they do keep pure, they do marry young, and they remain together. There is good and bad in all of us and I have had some brilliant customers. Missy's dress was different as the mothers like to make sure that the girls go before the priests covered up, they are very religious and respect the church. A couple of years ago travellers would not be online, they are progressing and really clever with their ideas, you just need to make sure that you give them what they want. 1000000s of swarovski crystals and a dress better than the last one you made. I did not understand them before, but now I will work with them every day, I like them, I understand them and welcome this site and ask that people just look at the dresses and comment on whether they like them or not, but not throw insults at the poor girls, live and let live.

They are spectacular, they are extravagant, then...they are not spending everything in having a big house and being mortgaged forever so it all goes into weddings and funerals. Yes, i work with this community on a daily basis, have been to their weddings, their funerals, cared for the sick with them and laughed and cried with them ..I supported their education daily and love them to bits!
