Castellane's Castle

Okay, so it's not really a castle but it is a 2,200 sq.ft. Parisian apartment with incredible detail and bright and airy rooms. Cordelia de Castellane, owner of children's wear line CdeC, opened her home to photographer Roger Davies so we could get a peek at how the sophisticated and chic mom of two (ex-hubby is Hubert Lanvin!) relaxes when she isn't globetrotting to visit her signature boutiques.

The apartment is 16th century and the detailed molding is out of this world!

Another view of the living room gives the glimpse of Alighiero Boetti works on the mantel. Castellane's diminutive pad hosts some fabulous artwork.

Clockwise top L to R: Massonnet Tam Tam stools are multi-functional in the kitchen; Castellane and sons pose in front of some gifted silkscreen Warhol prints in the television room; Starck Louis chairs by Kartell in the dining room; an heirloom cocktail table in the living room offsets the Belgian sofas.

I spy Murakami! Farrow & Ball's Light Grey sets the subdued tone for the master bedroom and canopy bed. JADIE!

I want a canopied bed so bad it hurts.

Oh, and I totally love these posts of yours, btw. I have no idea where you find this stuff, but it's neat!

*had her interior design DNA sucked away from her in the womb by her twin sister*

Interior design DNA trade off for fab fashion sense DNA? Not the worst thing I could think of.

Those wedding cake moldings! The herringbone floor! I'm dying I tell you!

I love that this proves you can live in an old space, not strip it of details and still have it feel totally fresh and modern.
