Your Apartment Is A Wonderland

I was never one of those girls who goes bananas for John Mayer but he has slowly won over my cold black heart. First, he went and made a video for "Waiting on the World to Change" and included graffiti greats like Futura, Tats Cru and Daze which gave him major cool points as far as I was concerned. Second, he sat in front of me at our friend Adam's memorial and he was very humble, very respectful and only talked to the two little boys that sat on either side of him, no celeb bullshit. Now, he went and let us take a peek at his Armani/Casa decorated New York City apartment and at this point, I have to give him an official pass. This bachelor pad is stylish and chic yet still simplistic. Photographs by Simon Upton for Elle Decor.

The color scheme in here is very serene, I bet he can really relax on this comfy couch after a long tour.

Mr. Mayer struck up a beautiful friendship with Armani after having a couple of suits made that in turn made him feel like a million bucks. He wanted his apartment to give him the same confidence and ease he got from his Armani wardrobe. And Mayer is never without company at dinner as he has photos of Jazz greats like Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk framed around the table.

Armani stools in the kitchen accent the Alison Berger for Holly Hunt pendent lamp.

Benjamin Moore walls and Andy Warhol art compliment the Armani/Casa linens and bed. The airline guitar case and lace up boots in the corner add that manly touch.

Thanks for letting us into your home, John!

It may be a bachelor pad, but this girl would not mind moving right in. It's not too masculine.

No no no! I just got over him, Lu. You can't tell me that he's actually a decent person!

He's a guitar god for heavens sake! I've been a fan for a looong time and have to over look some of his quirkiness. I think all creative people have their own little personality ticks. Love, love his stylish and tasteful apartment. He's not flashy nor does he flaunt his apparent wealth. I liked hearing how respectful he was at Adam's funeral. He has a pure heart.
