Reina's & Max's Wedding

My brother-in-law, Max, got married this past weekend at our friend Damian's house in Malibu. I promise this is the last wedding of 2009, at least to my knowledge! Max and my new sister-in-law, Reina, have been together for like 150 years. They finally tied the knot in a lovely little ceremony and are currently relaxing away on their honeymoon in Jamaica. The day was beyond hot and it got dark very quickly so unfortunately a lot of my pictures didn't turn out well. Between my husband and me, these are my best photos.
I wore a Nanette Lepore dress that hubby gave me as a birthday present last year.

And hubby wore his Calvin Klein tux with a Ben Sherman shirt. All the groomsmen were given skinny black ties and Ray Ban Wayfarers to form a look after Resevoir Dogs.

Natalie is Reina's younger sister. The bridesmaids wore short black taffeta dresses and feathered headbands. Natalie also caught the bouquet. Since she is only 17, she was told to promptly give it to someone else!

This lady is so damn funny, she absolutely kills me. You might recoginze Pamela from Californication. She is also the voice of Bobby from King of the Hill. Reina's mother has worked for Pamela for years and she is an extended part of their family. We were pretending we were Prom dates from the 80's.

And I caught a photo with the blushing bride before the ceremony.

Hubby with his mom Sharon. Sharon got a little tipsy and stuck a glitter butterfly from one of the centerpieces in her hair by the end of the night.

Lynn graciously offered her house for the ceremony and reception. Max and her son, Damian, have been friends since the first grade. Damian was also in our wedding. Lynn is such a neat lady, always traveling and living life to the fullest.

I had a good seat for the ceremony but not from a photographers stand point! Hubby escorted Reina's older sister, Michelle, down the aisle. There were rattan fans with programs on them and parasols to help shield the blazing sun.
Reina's mother was full of tears! Tears of joy, even still I gave her a big kiss when she sat down. Reina's parents are very sweet.

The best shot I could do! The ceremony was short and to the point. The joined the sands and broke the glass. I think this was right after the kiss.

They set up a clear tent like we did at our reception. A black and white dancefloor was also rented for the band later on in the night.

The view was beautiful! Max is a chef at a local restaurant so they did all the yummy catering.

They used green apples as place cards and had a wish tree with little cards the guests could write their wishes for the couple on.

My main man, the best man, gave a speech that had everyone cracking up.

Cousin Julie and I busted a move on the dancefloor. Julie's kids were my ring bearers and flower girl.

It was a great night! Congrats to the happy couple!

I love your dress!

Little known fact...The man and I go to sleep most nights watching King of The Hill and/or Family Guy. Très romantique!

You can warn Pamela that I'm gunning for her job as I do a spot on Bobby Hill. For reals.
