As you will notice in this trailer, Magic Mike has dreams of becoming a furniture designer. I suggest all of us in the design community support this young man by seeing this film. Twice.

Gilt has a lovely little enclave of vintage prints and quirky sayings translated into art on their site today. Below are some of my favorites....
Soicher Marin's Le Chapeau Mossant
I like this subway print on aluminum by Parvez Taj, but his bird painting looks so much like something I painted years ago, I could never buy it on principal alone.
This quote from Dorothy Parker could not fit more perfectly into my life at moment....sold!
Another Soicher Marin print of a Vintage Typewriter Keyboard.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, because I feel like this could possibly be the most perfect couple on the face of the planet. I always thought hubby and I were a dynamic duo, then I met Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson who are the most adorable, in-love couple I have ever seen in real life. But these two far surpass that whole "written in the stars" type of bullshit. Their love is different, in a Whitney and Bobby sort of way.
I'm going to go on the record and say that Yeezy and Kim Lardassian are off the charts, hands down, best couple of the year. H.A.M.

One day I hope to have a client that will let me pepper their pad with all sorts of fluffy furs and such, like this Mongolian Lamb Bench from Jonathan Adler.

If I were a kid, I would make my mom and dad buy me this Alison Delonge Ava Chair and hang a bunch of guitars on my walls then put on my ripped up jeans and wife beater and cover my face when people tried to take my picture. This kid is fucking cool.
Or I would ask them to put some Aimee Wilder Sumo Wallpaper up and buy me some horns for my mid-century style coffee table...
And after that, I'd get a bunch of cool coffee table books and stack them up all nice and neat next to my Whippet sitting on my fluffy throw rug in front of my Kokeshi Walls, also by Wilder.
I stepped out to a great party and art show this weekend hosted by Edward Norton on behalf of the 99%. It was held right down the street from me in an old car dealership and the place looked amazing.
The ramp served as the walkway for the guests and there were are installations to catch your eye on the way up.
One of my faves, Patrick Martinez had some of his neon for sale. I have been spec'ing some neon for an office project I have been working on, so I was definitely interested in this piece!
It got pretty crowded, especially when Tenacious D and Moby started playing, but the space was huge so it was super fun.
And Van Jones started his speech by pointing out the people who were not there that not, like Trayvon Martin and soldiers serving overseas.
My girlfriend Soraya and I came out to support her younger sister Sowaila who was part of the PR firm organizing the event. She is so talented, and did such a kick ass job that night.
